Email Jerry Don & AnnPastor Jerry Don Abernathy became Faith's Transitional Interim Pastor on December 4, 2011. He is pictured here with his lovely wife, Ann. We are currently going through the Transitional Interim Program sponsored by the BGCO and look forward to what God has planned for us. We are currently praying for the man God is leading to Faith Baptist Church. We know it will be in His time and not ours and we covet your prayers as well. Email KevinKevin and his wife Meagan have lived in Claremore for four years, they really like it!! God has called Kevin and Meagan to spiritually encourage and inspire teenagers. Kevin and Meagan are raising five boys; Keegan, Korbin, Malachi, Eli and their newest, born Aug. 5th, 2011, Daxton (Dax). In their free time they love to travel and be in the outdoors. They also enjoy watching their boys play sports. Kevin and Meagan are so thankful to be a part of the growing community of Faith Baptist Church, they feel very blessed to have the opportunity to serve God at Faith.
Email CharleenCharleen, a Charter Member of Faith, joined the office staff in May of 2003. She worked in several areas of the construction trade for over 25 years before coming to the church office. She and her husband, David have three children; Crystal, Candy & Dylan, 1 son-n-law, Joe, 1 daughter-n-law, Cheryel, five grandchildren; Eric, Steven, Kenzie, Wyatt & Doc, one soon to be granddaughter-n-law, Marissa and two great granddaughters, Jerzei born in September of 2009 & Ava born in July of 2011 and one great grandchild on the way due the end of January 2012. She enjoys spending time with her family. All her grandchildren were or are active in sports and she spends a lot of time at Baseball, Football & Basketball games.
Since June of 1979 she has worked in the Children’s SS Department and became the director in 1990 and started taking care of the Children’s Summer Camp. She and her husband are the Directors of a very active Senior Adult Ministry, aka Faithful Followers. She is in charge of Area 56 ( The preteen class on Wednesdays) and enjoys singing and sings specials on occasion.
She loves her Faith family and feels that her position here is more than a job but a ministry and this is where the Lord has called her to be.
Her favorite verse is "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength". Phil 4:13
Email BarbaraBarbara, a member of Faith Baptist Church since 1992, became the Financial Secretary in December 1995. Barbara and Ed have been married 41 years and have two sons. The oldest son Chris, and his wife Denise, have two children and reside in Midland, Texas. The second son Scott, and his wife Cristi, have the other three grandchildren and reside in Jenks, OK. Barbara and Ed’s favorite pastime is camping – most generally with Joe and Sharon Reed – friends since 1968. Barbara’s work history includes financial secretary for several years at Midland Baptist Temple, assistant music coordinator for Midland Baptist Temple School, as well as Real Estate and Trust Officer for Bank of America in Midland, Texas. Upon arriving in Claremore she worked as an employment counselor for Claremore Personnel.
William Ponder and wife Carol were married April 5th, 2003 and joined Faith Baptist Church July 6th, 2003. Though Bill has no children of his own, he has step children and grandchildren. Bill became part of the staff here at Faith April 19th, 2006. Bill's favorite scripture is:
